New Jersey Is on Track To Meet Clean Energy Goals by 2050

Posted January 20, 2021

New Jersey is making headway to transition to 100% clean energy by 2050. Supported by Gov. Murphy’s new Energy Master Plan, which emphasizes renewable energy like wind and solar, energy efficiency, electrifying the transportation and building sectors, and weening ourselves off of polluting fossil fuels, these important initiatives will make our environment cleaner and our communities healthier.

“With smart policies and investments, we can continue to transition to 100 percent clean energy while creating good jobs that will help the state’s economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Tom Gilbert, campaign director, New Jersey Conservation Foundation and ReThink Energy NJ.
