FDU Poll: 2018 ‘Attitudes on Energy in New Jersey’ Survey

New Jerseyans of both political parties overwhelmingly support renewable energy, and want the state to achieve 100% of its energy come from sources like wind and solar.

  • Only a third of New Jerseyans think gas is “clean” energy, an astounding 23-point drop from 2016.
  • Three out of four NJ voters support 100% renewable energy by 2050.
  • 75% say NJ should be investing more in renewables, not more fossil fuels and pipelines.
  • Two-thirds (67%) said that the jobs created by pipelines are not worth the environmental and health risks, and we should instead create jobs through clean, renewable energy projects.
