Senate Delays Critical Vote on Proposed Nuclear Bailout Bill

Posted February 26, 2018

A message from New Jersey Conservation Foundation and ReThink Energy NJ campaign director Tom Gilbert

February 26, 2018 — “We’re encouraged that the Senate protected the public today by deferring a rushed vote on this misguided energy legislation. We need the right policies in place to move New Jersey toward an affordable, efficient clean energy future, and this legislation as-written fails to do that.

Critical changes are needed to ensure transparent review of the need for any nuclear subsidies, to develop an effective renewable portfolio standard, and to support the growth of renewables and energy efficiency.”
