In his first week at the White House, President Biden has taken a number of executive actions to tackle the climate crisis while creating fair wage clean energy jobs, building sustainable infrastructure, and delivering environmental justice.

“President Biden’s comprehensive actions to address the climate crisis, create jobs and restore scientific integrity are an urgently needed breath of fresh air. Not only will his plan put us back on track to address the climate crisis at home and abroad, but it will generate good-paying jobs that will help invigorate our devastated economy,” said Tom Gilbert, campaign director, New Jersey Conservation Foundation and ReThink Energy NJ.

“We are pleased to see a directive to ensure that every federal infrastructure investment reduces climate pollution and that steps are taken to accelerate clean energy. This heralds a new era of federal support for New Jersey’s ongoing efforts to transition away from fossil fuels to an economy powered by clean and renewable sources of energy.”
