Posted October 10, 2019

Statement of Tom Gilbert, Campaign Director for New Jersey Conservation Foundation & ReThink Energy NJ

“Today’s decision by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to deny PennEast’s permit application is another major setback for the proposed pipeline and win for New Jerseyans whose health, water and air would be threatened by this project,” said Tom Gilbert, campaign director, ReThink Energy NJ and New Jersey Conservation Foundation. “The Murphy Administration has taken strong steps to defend our taxpayer preserved lands and uphold our strong environmental standards against this unnecessary and damaging pipeline.”
