Statement on New Offshore Wind Development

Posted July 1, 2021

“New Jersey Board of Public Utilities’ approval of two new offshore wind projects is a major step forward for clean energy generation in the state. Combined, these projects will generate over 2,600 megawatts of 100% renewable energy — enough clean power for 1.5 million homes in New Jersey, and create roughly 7,000 jobs. We applaud the Murphy administration for their leadership to rapidly scale up renewable energy and address the climate crisis.” — Tom Gilbert, campaign director,  ReThink Energy NJ and New Jersey Conservation Foundation
